Stephin Merritt de Magnetic Fields va a publicar un recopilatorio de rarezas y tomas alternativas el próximo 23 de agosto a través de su sello, el mítico Merge Records. De ellas se adelanta ‘Forever And A Day’, que él describe como una alternativa a ‘The Book of Love’, en teoría la canción perfecta para una boda. En realidad, en Stereogum podéis leer una descripción de las 14 canciones que componen este disco. A destacar ‘Rats in the Garbage of the Western World’, que define como un tributo a The Cure; o ‘Plant White Roses’, una parodia de Patsy Cline «escrita en menos tiempo del que tarda en cantarse». Los temas proceden de 1994 y 1999 de los diferentes proyectos de Merritt y algunas bandas sonoras inacabadas.
