En una nota de prensa, Thorn ha escrito que «estos temas, por un lado, representan esos momentos en los que trabajé sola fuera de las limitaciones y democracia de la banda […] y, por otro, aquellos momentos en los que colaboré con otras bandas o productores».
El álbum incluye colaboraciones de Massive Attack, Hot Chip o Robert Wyatt, entre otros, y se abre con ‘Oh, the Divorces!’, el primer single de ‘Love and Its Opposite‘, el notable último álbum de estudio de Thorn, editado en 2010.
