"Put those (expletive) hands up! Now move it!" she commanded for second song "G.U.Y." Not even half the crowd obliged.
"Milwaukee work it!" she barked for "Donatella." Most were motionless.
"Put your hands up, now everybody jump together," she ordered on "Venus." Thousands of feet stayed planted on the ground.
"I want to see you screwing, I want to see you throwing up," she requested before the start of "MANiCURE." Thank God none of that happened.
Pumping up the crowd is one thing, but Gaga was relentless, desperate, the antithesis of cool. All her efforts couldn't compensate for the fact that these rambling songs just didn't connect on a mass level.
