The Queen of Pop, Madonna is back â and she has done an exclusive interview with our friends over at MOJO.
The magazine has devoted 13 pages to a worldwide exclusive conducted last month in New York City.
The candid interview covers Madonnaâs expansive career, from her early days in New York City circa 1982, to her 13th studio album âRebel Heartâ, which features collaborators such as Kanye West.
âI like that [Kanye] likes to push the envelope,â she told MOJO. âHe hears music in a different and unique way. I think Diploâs the same.
âI like people who think outside of the box âcos they take a song Iâve written thatâs quite straightforward and pop, and deconstruct it, rip it apart and turn it into something else.â
This is the first time Madonna has covered MOJO magazine and she has posted the cover on her official Instagram account.
Phil Alexander, MOJOâs Editor-In-Chief, said: âMadonna is the biggest-selling female artist of all-time and yet few people have actually sat down and talked to her about the thing that excites her most â her music.
âAt MOJO weâve done just that in a piece that genuinely reveals how she works and what drives her. We hope MOJOâs cover story presents a unique view of one of modern musicâs most iconic performers.â
She also talks openly about free music in the digital age, her faith, juggling motherhood and music, and the importance of rebellion in art.
