Tomorrow is the 50th anniversary of the masterpiece BLUE. The celebration is kicking off today with the release of BLUE 50 (Demos & Outtakes), a digital EP that debuts five unreleased recordings from the making of BLUE. Listen here: https://JM.lnk.to/Blue50
Each track is a standout, including the demos “California” and an early version of “A Case of You” featuring different lyrics. The EP also features alternate takes of “River” and “Urge For Going,” and the previously unreleased, studio version of “Hunter.” These tracks will also appear on JONI MITCHELL ARCHIVES VOL.2: THE REPRISE YEARS (1968-1971), coming on October 29.
The BLUE 50 cover features the original BLUE color treatment with a previously unseen alternative photo of Joni by Tim Considine taken at the same show as the original.
