^^A casi todos nos gusta más el sonido propio de Grimes, en sus trabajos anteriores....... pero a lo mejor quería probar otras cosas porque se cansó o quería llegar a otro tipo de gente jajaja como sea, aún falta por escuchar muchas canciones nuevas, "Go" es un aperitivo fresco y diferente a lo que nos tiene acostumbrados, a ver lo siguiente!
Por cierto, mirad lo que me he encontrado en Tumblr... una comparación un tanto estúpida jajaja
Lo que suena más "decepcionante" es la parte dubstep, pero el tema tiene una melodía bonita y detalles vocales bastante "trascendentales", pero es que si se escucha pocas veces el tema, se tiende a quedarte más con la parte machacante del tema que con el resto de detalles.
Claro... es que si Grimes nos tiene acostumbrados a sonar de una manera tan original, unas melodías y ritmos bastante peculiares y de repente nos viene con un tema que contiene dubstep, que nos tiene ya bastante rallados y sabe a desfasado y típico... pues claro te decepciona, además porque no te pega con ella.
Pero por otro lado, el tema tiene una melodía muy buena y detalles sonoros bastante ambientales y más identificables con ella, y eso es lo que me gusta de "Go", pero en las primeras escuchas te quedas a cuadros, porque no es lo habitual en ella y si llega a ser otro artista, quien sabe. Pienso que con Rihanna habría sido aún más mainstream, desfasado y decepcionante...

Anyway - i like to periodically release songs since my album is taking so long and i make a lot of songs that i wouldn’t put on an album but i nonetheless enjoy so thats what this is.
me and my step bro jay worthy make an annual christmas song with our siblings in order to avoid obligatory dinner. this is NOT a single from the upcoming album, not a serious piece of art in any capacity and not an official grimes release
also —made this song in prob less than 2 hours so please excuse my terrible production, + it is not mixed or mastered.
since this is no longer gonna be on the album, I’m releasing it as a special thank you to everyone in Singapore, KL, Manila, Jakarta, HK, Shanghai, Beijing, Taipei, Seoul, Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo who came out to the shows! It was an honor to play with a bunch of amazing bands and travel to places I would never otherwise be able to go
This song was never finished. its a demo from ~ the lost album ~, recorded early 2013. i lost the ableton file, so its not mixed or mastered. i tried to doctor the mp3 into a listenable state, but it was poorly recorded in the first place and never meant to be heard by anyone, so its a bit of a mess haha.

I really appreciate the kind words! but the constant/daily reassurance from fans, friends, family, co workers etc. that I ought not to worry about what other people say is truly unnecessary.
I honestly never ‘ditched an album due to negative fan reaction to go.’ Go did really well imo. obviously some people didn’t like it as it was different from my other material, but isn’t that the point of collaborations/ trying to write for other artists?
Some outlets ran w that story for no apparent reason and refuse to amend or take down despite the fact that it’s incorrect and there is no proof that it’s true lol
The rumour is complete nonsense.
The album was scrapped cuz it was depressing and I didn’t want to tour it. I may release it one day. this all happened before Go was ever released.
I throw out music all the time, i have almost 1000 gigs of unreleased music on my hard drive. I just want the next album to be as good as possible. Go was never on the album anyway, it is a collaboration with a close friend that was released for fans as a ‘Thank you’ for waiting since my album was being delayed.
There are only about 4 people on earth who have heard my new music.
People’s opinions do not factor into my process.
That is all, and hopefully this helps
