After a five year break, 2012 saw Garbage back in the spotlight with a new studio album Not Your Kind Of People followed by their first world tour for seven years. The band mix highlights from the new album with classic tracks from across their career to produce the ultimate Garbage live experience. TRACKLIST 1) Automatic System Habit 2) I Think I m Paranoid 3) Shut Your Mouth 4) Why Do You Love Me 5) Queer 6) Stupid Girl 7) Hammering In My Head 8) Control 9) #1 Crush 10) Cherry Lips 11) Big Bright World 12) Blood For Poppies 13) Special 14) Milk 15) Battle In Me 16) Push It 17) Only Happy When It Rains 18) Supervixen 19) The Trick Is To Keep Breathing 20) Vow 21) Time Will Destroy Everything (End Credits)
Album #6 will probably be out sometime in early to mid 2015.
But that’s not all that’s happening next year. 2015 marks the 20 year anniversary since Garbage released their self-titled debut album, and the band has some big plans to celebrate. According to Butch, they will be “rolling out a re-issue” of Garbage, and it will include lots of bonus material and b-sides. They also have a lot of archival footage that they hope to release as well.

Garbage also has about 20 songs that are 80% in the can (sorry), according to Vig. They are expected to be mixed and mastered by the end of May and officially issued in album form late this year. “Some of the songs sound like classic Garbage,” Vig says. “A lot of our songs become fully defined when we finish the final mix. That’s one of the fun things I like about this band.” “It can get quite maddening in the studio,” Erikson adds. “Ideas are flying around almost too fast for us to try them all.” The new album might come out around the same time that Garbage embarks on the small yet significant “20 Years Queer” tour. To honor the 20th anniversary of the debut album, the band will play the entire record in order, as well as B-sides from that era — which means hardcore fans might hear “Alien Sex Fiend” and “Girl Don’t Come” live for the first time. “Some of our B-sides are better than what ends up on the record,” Erikson says.
The band is currently working on their sixth studio album, set for release early next year.
Shirley Manson Me and my band of brothers have just delivered our 6th studio album and it's been quite a ride. Like all worthwhile, creative endeavors, it has not been without it's trials and tribulations but as always, it was worth the trip. I hope you all agree. And that you fall in love with it in all of it's sprawling , cinematic, dark gothic glory. Goodnight dears. Tomorrow is a new dawn. Sx
