Apple, para celebrar el décimo aniversario de su tienda iTunes, ha publicado además de las listas con los discos más vendidos de la historia, las listas de las canciones más vendidas. En el año del estreno de la tienda, el 2003, fue número uno el ya clásico ‘Hey Ya!’ de Outkast. También han pasado por esta primera posición U2 con ‘Vertigo’, Kanye West con ‘Gold Digger’, The Black Eyed Peas con el machacón ‘I Gotta Feeling’ o Carly Rae Jepsen y su único éxito ‘Call Me Maybe’.

A lo largo de esta década, The Black Eyed Peas han sido los vencedores de las listas de singles, ya que consiguen meter seis canciones, seguidos de Rihanna que cuenta con cinco entradas. Katy Perry y Lady Gaga empatan con tres entradas. La única canción de Madonna presente en la lista es ‘4 Minutes’, la única de Beyoncé, ‘Crazy In Love’, y Britney no consigue meter ninguna canción.

El gran misterio es Daniel Powter y su canción ‘Bad Day’, la más vendida de 2006 y que fue premiada por Billboard como el mayor «one hit wonder» de los 2000. Por aquí, ni nos sonaba.
