Patrick Doyle, batería de Veronica Falls e integrante único de Boys Forever y Basic Plumbings, ha fallecido este domingo 4 de marzo a los 32 años de edad. La causa de su muerte se desconoce por el momento. La página de Boys Forever ha dado la noticia en Facebook, escribiendo que Doyle fue “un querido hijo, hermano, tío y amigo, y [que] su familia está inmensamente orgullosa de lo que ha conseguido”.
Son varios los compañeros de profesión que han despedido a Doyle en redes sociales, entre ellos su compañera de banda Marion Herbain: “todo duele y ha sido difícil encontrar las palabras adecuadas para enfrentar sentimientos que van desde la máxima angustia al remordimiento”. También Alex Kapranos de Franz Ferdinand y Bright Light Bright Light lamentan la muerte de su amigo. The Cribs y Frankie Rose, entre otros, le recuerdan asimismo en Twitter.
El último disco de Veronica Falls fue ‘Waiting for Something to Happen‘, de 2013. El disco contenía su mayor éxito en streaming, ‘Teenage’. Recientemente, Doyle publicaba un nuevo tema a través de su alias Basic Plumbings, ‘When You Disappear’, pidiendo a sus fans que, en lugar de pagar por la canción, donaran lo que pudiesen a Los Angeles LGBT Center.
